Japan 2010 Update

In June, I ministered in the Osaka prefecture to approximately 250 people among several churches.  I am excited to report that 34 individuals were baptized in the Holy Spirit and several others accepted Christ for the first time!

One teenage girl who came to church for the first time received Jesus after hearing about his unconditional love for us.  She said, "I feel so unworthy to receive Jesus."  As I began to explain about Jesus and His work on the ross, tears began to flow and she opened her heart to receive Christ as her Lord and Savior.

Another lady had been searching for the truth for more than 10 years.  Her confusion was magnified as she attended liberal churches that told her the stories in the Bible were mere fables. The pastors of the church where she eventually accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior were greatly encouraged, for their labors over the last few years was finally bearing fruit!  As the Apostle Paul said, some plant, some water, but God is the one who gives the increase. (1 Cor. 3:7)  All glory be to God!!

On the last day of ministry, the local church held a classical music outreach to the community.  I played an excerpt from a Mozart piano sonata, sang a worship song and gave a brief message on the relation between music and the worship of the One True God.  Talk about being nervous as I managed to squeeze in some time to practice on the ivories the night before!  It was wonderful to know that classical music can be used to reach those who have yet to know Jesus.

South Asia School

The 3-floor classroom construction is almost complete. (YAY!)  We are left with the need of $7,000 to finish the construction and furnish the rooms.  Right now we have about 70 students and are supporting 4 teachers. Please remember the school in your prayers and budget for 2011.

Rev. Bill Eng is a missionary-evangelist with the Assemblies of God of Malaysia.  He is also an accomplished pianist.

Raised in a Taoist-Buddhist home, Bill did not find answers to his spiritual search for the One True God.  Through his Christian friends' faithful and persistent witness in high school, Bill finally accepted the Lord, though he kept his faith a secret from his parents who had threatened to disown him if he were ever to convert to Christianity.
